What is Zip/Unzip?
Zipping means combining many files into one compressed files for easy transport via internet or USB drive etc. After zipping many files and folder the final files will have extersion .zip, or .tar or .gz etc. Our zipped files have .zip extensions.

Unziping means extracting the files and folders from a zipped file. After unzipping you will get the files and folders in their original formats and structure.

Everyone needs a zip/unzip utility
We believe that every computer should have at least one zip/unzip utility. Why? Because it is now a standard industry practice to zip files and send to recipient. So the recipient needs an unzip utility to extract the files. Windows XP Pro and Vista have zip/unzip utility built into it.

If you are using Windows XP Pro or Vista, you can unzip by double clicking on the zip file.
If you don't have any unzip utility, then it is time to get one.
